OK, it's Friday. It's been a long past few weeks. My brain is tired, and I can't think of anything "real" to post today. I keep coming across these at By Sun and Candlelight. A blog I happen to enjoy and visit often. It will be on my favorite blogs list, once I figure out how to do that.
As always, let me know if you do this so I can put in a link. Or just post your list in the comments.
WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? -My middle name, Adele, is from my dad's mom. I have no idea where Megan came from, and considering my mom's name is Bruce and my sister's name is Bryan, I'm just happy I wasn't named Brad.
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? - The last time I remember crying was when I watched "I am David". (Awesome movie by the way!)
DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING?- No!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT? -Pastrami, but Boar's Head has taken over the deli's and I have a hard time finding it for under $10 per lb. so I've switched to peppered turkey.
DO YOU HAVE KIDS? - 4 boys. 5 if you want to include Kent. He goes through more stain stick than the other 4 combined!
IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? - It depends. What if I were a feminist? I don't think I'd like me very much! I kind of have that barefoot and pregnant type of lifestyle they so loathe!
DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT? - Is my favorite German Shepard Catholic?
DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR TONSILS?- Last I checked, they were still there!
WOULD YOU BUNGEE JUMP?- Well, it looks like a lot of fun, so if it weren't for that whole risk of death and injury thing, Yes I would!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CEREAL?- Grape-nuts
DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF? - No! Are you supposed to?
DO YOU THINK YOU ARE STRONG? - "I am woman, here me roar!" Actually this is a hard one to answer, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. I guess it would just depend on what they mean by "strong". This site alone has 21 definitions.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM? - Marble Slab. Coffee & Sweet Cream with Heath Bar mix in.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE? - I am a strong believer in dressing modestly, so it's usually how they are dressed, especially with the boys getting older. I have become very aware of all the cleavage they are being exposed to!
RED OR PINK?- Definitely red! The only way I'll ever own anything pink is if God blesses us with a girl.
WHAT IS THE LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOURSELF?- I am impatient and disorganized. I had to say both, they have a lot to do with each other!
WHO DO YOU MISS THE MOST? - My husband, when he's at work. Of course when he's retired I'll be paying people to get him out of the house. If this is referring to people that have passed away, I would love to see my grandparents again.
WHAT COLOR PANTS AND SHOES ARE YOU WEARING? - Grey workout capris. My shoes are invisible.
WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU ATE?- a hot out of the oven chocolate chip cookie.
WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW?- The movie Robots.
IF YOU WERE A CRAYON, WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU BE?- Red, a deep dark red!
FAVORITE SMELLS?- I love it when you go on a walk and pass by someones house who is drying their clothes with fabric softener and you get a whiff of that clean fresh laundry smell. Newly washed babies & gardenias are up there too!
WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU TALKED TO ON THE PHONE?- Kent
FAVORITE SPORTS TO WATCH?- My kids baseball games.
HAIR COLOR?- Dark brown, with a few "lighter" hairs creeping in.
EYE COLOR? - Dark brown.
DO YOU WEAR CONTACTS? - Only when I'm not wearing my glasses.
FAVORITE FOOD? - Alan's (my step dad) rack of lamb w/my mom's potatoes and green beans, add some cheesecake for dessert and I'll have died and gone to heaven!
SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS? - Happy endings as long as they're not sappy. I find "scary" movies (by scary I'm referring to "Friday the 13th" type films) rather silly.
LAST MOVIE YOU WATCHED?- "Willy Wonka" with Johnny Depp.
WHAT COLOR SHIRT ARE YOU WEARING?- Red, deep dark red.
SUMMER OR WINTER? - Summer for the pool, winter for the clothes.
HUGS OR KISSES?- I would have to say hugs, but it depends on the person and if they have the flu or not! If were talking Kent & the boys, I'll take both!
FAVORITE DESSERT?- In case you didn't figure it out earlier, cheesecake.
WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING NOW?- I always have " A Year With the Saints" on my nightstand. But right now I'm in between books. I have never read anything by Jane Austen, and plan on reserving something at the library very soon. I am reading "St. John Bosco" to the boys right now. And since we are on the subject of books, if you haven't read "Left to Tell" , you must do so. It is an INCREDIBLE book. The author, Immaculee Ilibagiza, will be on CBS's 60 minutes this Sunday June 24th. Tune in if you have time. She is an amazing woman, with an amazing story of forgiveness!
WHAT IS ON YOUR MOUSE PAD?- Nothing, it's plain black.
WHAT DID YOU WATCH ON T.V. LAST NIGHT?- Nothing, we don't watch much TV. We gave it up for Lent as a family and no one missed it, so we canceled our Direct TV, now all we get is fuzzy local reception. Maybe I'm not out of the Dark Ages after all.
FAVORITE SOUND?- True genuine laughter from a child.
ROLLING STONES OR BEATLES?- Neither really, but if I have to choose... Beatles.
WHAT IS THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME? - Senior trip to Mazatlan, Mexico. At least if felt far away. I lived in AZ at the time so my trips to NY would have actually been farther mileage wise.
DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL TALENT?- Well I hate to brag, but if you say a word I can probably think of a song about it. My family doesn't find this very endearing. I'm not quite sure why!
WHERE WERE YOU BORN?- Topeka, Kansas. "There's no place like home! There's no place like home!"
Have a great weekend!
Hi Brad. You brought Shaun to tears. Funny stuff. I still remember that bright, sunny day in Topeka when you were born. Or maybe there was a tornado; can't remember. It is also scary to think that you are old enough to have this many memories! Pretty soon, you'll be old enough to lose them . . . like me.
