These past 9 months haven't been exactly normal for us, but it's the past 2 that have certainly taken the cake. It all started in March with a twisted ankle, this was a first for me and I wish I could say I was doing something heroic like saving a child in harms way, but all I was doing was walking out the door.
In April a nasty little upper respiratory infection started to spread through the house. Matthew was the first to succumb the week before Easter, and James (who was taken to the Dr. last Thursday) will hopefully be the last. Kent only being home on the weekends seems to have escaped this one. It starts out as a fever that can last up to 5 days, and when the fever breaks you are left with an annoying cough that will drive you and all around you insane. For Matthew, Catherine, Michael and James it progressed even further and they ended up with pneumonia.
And even though we haven't been in the best of health lately, we are all doing much better than my old laptop computer, who two weeks ago decided to kick the bucket. I got a new one this past weekend when my dad, the computer expert of the family, came to visit. He helped Kent pick one out for me and spent a good chunk of his day on Saturday setting it up so I could get back to the important things in life like blogging, and posting pictures of the prettiest girl in the world, who happened to have a great time hanging out with her grandpa this weekend.
