With 5 kids born in 5 different states, we've moved enough to know there are always a few things you have to get used to when settling into your new surroundings. Wisconsin is no exception.
First off we'll start with language. Not that it's a huge barrier here, but if I asked you where the bubbler was, would you be able to tell me? If we decided to buy a house in Oconomowoc, Wauwatosa, Mukwonago, or Waukesha, would you be able to tell people where we live? And I must admit it took several times of me asking the bag boy at Piggly Wiggly to repeat himself before I finally understood I wasn't allowed to take the kiddie cart I was pushing James around in outside since it was raining.
Another big difference that happened to catch our eye right away is that you can have all you alcohol needs (not just beer and wine) met right at your local grocery store. Now mind you, I am not in anyway complaining about this, but it does seem to make our grocery bills a little more a lot more expensive. Milk, eggs, and bread can easily run you $100 when you add bourbon, tequila, and triple sec to the cart; $109 if you add some "Spotted Cow". I had to have 2 margaritas just to help me recover from sticker shock.
Finally, we've noticed that the people who make pizza here must have been absent the day they taught triangles in pre-school (probably had too much snow that day) because they cut everything into squares. We are hoping this is a Lake Geneva thing, and the people in Milwaukee know how to do it right. Pizza is a pie, not a cake, so please cut accordingly.

LOL! Well, at our local Piggly Wiggly, they *do* allow us to take the kiddie carts out in the rain. :)
